DSI Continues Planning Work for Florida Counties during Second Quarter 2016
TALLAHASSEE, FL - DSI CEO Joe Myers reported that DSI has worked hard to prepare for the 2016 hurricane season. As Myers said, “Since DSI provides recovery staff for at least three states, we must analyze and test our systems and procedures every year. I believe DSI is prepared to assist Florida, North Carolina, and/or Alaska whenever they need assistance, and I will make sure that DSI is prepared staff and resource-wise, to provide expert assistance should the need arise.” Myers also commented on DSI’s continuing partnership with Holmes County, as the company completed a COOP Update and conducted a COOP workshop in June. He was also pleased to report a new relationship with Lafayette County Emergency Management, which was initiated by the completion of a CEMP update during the first week of June.
