DSI Implements Innovative Tracking System for Disaster Recovery Cost Accounting
TALLAHASSEE, FL - As an important component of its Public Assistance Program staff augmentation contract with the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM), Recovery Services Manager Kevin Adkison today announced that DSI’s new web-based project tracking system is now operational and ready for use by DSI professionals as well as FDEM personnel. This system will be an important tool in the collection, analysis and reporting of all direct administrative costs for FDEM recovery operations. This system, which was built consistent with the policies outlined in the FEMA “Zimmerman Memorandum,” promises to maximize reimbursements due to the State of Florida for all administrative expenses incurred as a result of declared disasters. Costs will now be collected in a much more systematic fashion for not only DSI professionals, but also appropriate FDEM personnel.
