DSI Provides Support After Impacts of Hurricane Isaac

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Hurricane Isaac came ashore in Florida with an impact and documented damage sufficient to provide a Presidential Declaration on October 18, 2012. As per the Stafford Act, the Joint Field Office was established by FEMA in Tallahassee and DSI was tasked to provide staff augmentation to FDEM and their pursuit of recovery efforts and funding. Hurricane Isaac, which was categorized as DR4084, resulted in projects being written for 84 applicants statewide.  Total documented damage from Isaac exceeded $38 million. DSI conducted all field work with sub-grantees for this disaster and continues to aggressively pursue final project closeouts.
