Energy Assurance Plans

Many jurisdictions across the nation were required to develop Energy Assurance Plans as part of their commitment to the federal government that every community had a strategy to face an energy emergency. DSI, under contract to the Florida Executive Office of the Governor's Energy Office, developed the Florida Energy Assurance Plan. This plan focused on the five major sources of energy, to include:

  • Petroleum
  • Natural Gas
  • Coal
  • Renewables
  • Nuclear

This plan included the basic requirement and plan development criteria provided through the U.S. Department of Energy. These included:

  • Emergency Response Plan
  • Best Practices of Other States
  • Plan to Enhance Resiliency and Protection of Critical Infrastructure
  • Interface with the State ESF-12, Energy
  • Public Service Commission Operating Procedures

DSI has a full complement of qualified planners with the requisite skills to develop or update an Energy Assistance Plan for any jurisdiction.
