Disaster Housing Plans

What would your jurisdiction do if you had a catastrophic disaster that made a large number of your residents homeless? What role would you play in assisting your residents find temporary housing, and where would you go to find it?

These questions and many more are answered in DSI's Disaster Housing Plans. Although in large-scale events, chances are good that federal assistance would be available, there are still roles and responsibilities each jurisdiction has to ensure housing options are made available.

Each Disaster Housing Plan covers items such as:

  • Federal, State and County Housing Initiatives

  • Concept of Operations

  • Temporary Housing Site Selection

  • Identification of Applicable Codes and Ordinances

  • State Statutes, Administrative Codes that are applicable

...and much more.
