DSI Supports State in Aftermath of Major Flooding
TALLAHASSEE, FL - The State of Florida was impacted by a severe storm and major flooding in late July 2013. This disaster impacted a total of counties, with the State exceeding the minimum threshold for damage and, therefore, receiving a Presidential declaration on August 2, 2013. This disaster was assigned DR4138 and DSI was called upon to provide all field operations support to all impacted sub-applicants. Working closely with FDEM and the local entities, DSI successfully documented a total of 322 projects for 25 unique applicants. Total documented damage for DR 4138 exceeded $68 million.
