Wakulla County Hosts DSI for Hurricane TTX

CRAWFORDVILLE, FL - DSI was asked to develop and conduct the 2013 Wakulla County Hurricane TTX. Under the direction of Scott Nelson, Wakulla County Emergency Management Director, DSI developed a scenario of a landfalling hurricane severely impacting Wakulla County. Those in attendance included most of the Wakulla County agencies, American Red Cross, Talquin COOP, Amateur Radio, and a host of other groups. The TTX involved three sessions, to include pre-landfall, landfall, and recovery.  

Under DSI's Training and Exercise Coordinator, Terry Shenk, the TTX was conducted in the Old Wakulla County Courthouse, a beautiful facility on Florida's Historic Buildings list.
