Jeff started his career in the emergency management field in 2008 as a member of Florida Division of Emergency Management. While working as a PAC, (Public Assistance Coordinator) Jeff has worked on eight Presidentially-declared disaster events and is experienced in all phases of Response and Recovery – from damage assessments; to project development; to final inspections and closeouts. Jeff has personally worked on over 300 large FEMA Projects with an estimated value exceeding $86 million. He has significant experience in the area of disaster debris (Category A), emergency protective measures (Category B) and all infrastructure projects (Categories C-G). In aftermath of Tropical Storm Fay, Jeff was a key member of the team that prepared applicants for the storm, collected data needed for project development, and helped prepare project worksheets of all categories in 18 Counties Statewide, and was appointed as State Liaison Officer on the Gold State Management Team during Operation Haiti Relief. Having grown up in Florida and seeing the impact past storms have had on the State; Jeff takes special pride in aggressively pursuing every eligible dollar that is available for jurisdictions impacted by disasters. Jeff has completed numerous hours of continuing education with multiple agencies including FDEM, FEMA, NASA, and Florida Forest Services. Jeff currently holds 70 relevant FEMA certifications including Professional Development Series (PDS), Advanced Professional Series (APS), and Professional Continuity Practitioner (COOP-PCP). Prior to entering the field of emergency management, Jeff worked for Walt Disney World Enterprises as a planner.
